My name is Ashlei Simonne Hazell, a Caribbean-American actress born and raised in Central Jersey (yes, you may insert your Jersey jokes here). I was first captivated by performers on stage and screen while wearing out my VHS recording of Cats (annnd your Cats jokes go here), and later seeing it live on Broadway. By the time I made my own stage debut in my kindergarten class’s production of Tiki Tiki Tembo, I was hooked.

I went on to earn my BFA in Drama from NYU, training first at the Atlantic Acting School and later at Stonestreet Studios. Now based in NYC, I have worked across film, television, and commercials, with projects that have kept me as close as a few blocks from home and carried me as far South Korea.

When I’m not acting, you’ll usually find me researching the newest beauty trends on social media while simultaneously stuffing my Sephora cart, getting lost in a new book (a romantasy girlie, through and through), breaking a sweat in my favorite workout class, or once November 1st hits, enthusiastically participating in all Christmas/Holiday activities.
